 Day 1: Arrival in Ushuaia, Argentina

Arrive in Ushuaia, Argentina, the southernmost city in the world, nestled in the beautiful Tierra del Fuego region. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel for check-in. Spend the afternoon at leisure, exploring Ushuaia's charming streets, shops, and local restaurants. In the evening, attend a welcome briefing with your expedition team, who will outline the exciting journey ahead.


Day 2: Embarkation in Ushuaia & Departure

This morning, board your expedition ship at Ushuaia’s port and set sail across the Drake Passage. The ship’s crew will introduce you to your vessel and provide a detailed briefing about the voyage, safety protocols, and onboard activities. As the ship leaves the port, watch the stunning scenery of the Tierra del Fuego National Park fade into the distance. 

During the next two days of your crossing, you’ll enjoy expert-led presentations on Antarctic wildlife, history, and the science of glaciers and ice, preparing you for the adventures that await.

Day 3-4: Crossing the Drake Passage

Spend the next two days at sea as your ship navigates the Drake Passage, one of the most famous waterways in the world. Keep your eyes peeled for seabirds such as albatrosses and petrels as they glide alongside the ship. Attend lectures on glaciology, marine life, and the history of polar exploration. The ship’s team of naturalists will keep you engaged with daily updates, offering a deeper understanding of the unique environment you’re about to enter.


Day 5-7: Antarctic Peninsula

After crossing the Drake Passage, you’ll arrive at the Antarctic Peninsula. The next few days will be spent exploring this frozen wonderland, with landings at various sites that showcase the region’s dramatic landscapes and abundant wildlife.

- Danco Island: Visit a large Gentoo penguin colony on this small island. Danco offers an up-close look at penguin behavior and nesting grounds.

- Neko Harbour: One of the most breathtaking spots in Antarctica, Neko Harbour offers a dramatic backdrop of towering glaciers and the possibility of seeing glaciers calving into the sea.

- Paradise Bay: Sail through peaceful waters surrounded by glaciers and towering ice cliffs. Zodiac excursions allow you to get up close to the icebergs and wildlife in the bay.

- Cuverville Island: Known for its large Gentoo penguin colony, Cuverville also offers stunning views of the Antarctic Peninsula's mountain range.

Day 8-9: South Shetland Islands

Your ship will continue northward to the South Shetland Islands, where you’ll visit more wildlife-rich islands. The South Shetlands are home to large populations of chinstrap penguins, elephant seals, and a variety of seabirds. Enjoy Zodiac landings in locations such as:

- Deception Island: A volcanic island that hosts a fascinating abandoned research station and stunning geothermal features.

- Half Moon Island: This island is famous for its thriving chinstrap penguin colonies and its scenic beaches.

- King George Island: The final stop before heading back to Ushuaia, King George Island hosts research stations from various nations and provides a last opportunity to witness the rugged beauty of Antarctica.


Day 10: Return to the Drake Passage

After exploring the South Shetland Islands, you’ll begin your return journey across the Drake Passage to Ushuaia. As you cross the southern waters once again, enjoy time on deck watching for marine life and seabirds. The expedition team will provide additional lectures on the environmental impact of climate change in Antarctica, helping you reflect on the importance of preserving this pristine wilderness.


Day 11: Arrive Back in Ushuaia

After two days at sea, you’ll arrive back in Ushuaia, Argentina. Disembark the ship and transfer to the airport for your flight home, bringing with you unforgettable memories of your Antarctic adventure.
